Such was the case with the group Wavves, who make a style of pop-punk that is overly distorted and turned into a cacophony of noise on purpose. I can't stand this genre of music that the blogosphere seems to be eating up as of late.
Yesterday, the band completely BOMBED at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona. The band had a piss poor attitude, were shouting at each other and the sound guys, playing their songs wrong and out-of-tune on purpose, and even harassing the audience. Here's to the demise of Wavves and noise-pop altogether. And also to Grizzly Bear I guess. It truly is a pessimistic week for music here. Oh well, only a little longer until I get cleansed at Bonnaroo.
